Kobe Bryant (ankle) remains a game-time decision for Wednesday's game against the Jazz.
The Lakers would prefer that Kobe rests tomorrow and sits out the All-Star game, but we'll see what Kobe has to say about that. If he thinks he can be effective, he'll play. We should have a better idea of what Kobe will do after Wednesday's shootaround.

Kobe Bryant, who remains questionable for Wednesday's game, said on Monday that he can't push off with his injured ankle.
Kobe might even sit out the All-Star game. "Im not going to run through a wall just to run through a wall," he said, referring to his perceived 'warrior' mentality. "If it can heal while Im playing, Ill play. But if its the type of injury that playing will make it worse, I wont play."

The Lakers will play without both Kobe Bryant (sprained left ankle) and Andrew Bynum (bruised right hip) vs. the Spurs on Monday.
An MRI revealed nothing worse than a sprain, and Kobe is questionable for L.A.'s final game before the All-Star break, Wednesday at Utah. Lamar Odom will start at PF on Monday, moving Pau Gasol to center.

Kobe Bryant is a game-time decision for Monday as he awaits the results of an MRI on his injured left ankle.
The results are due back right before gametime tonight, which changes things a bit with Bryant. The decision to play tonight has probably been taken out of his hands and given to doctors. There's still a decent chance he'll play tonight, but owners are going to have to start him at their own risk.

Kobe Bryant chose not to talk to reporters after Saturday's win over the Blazers while coach Phil Jackson said it was up to Kobe as to whether or not he plays in the two games leading up to the All-Star break, as well as the All-Star game itself.
"There is some time there if he does need to take a longer time, we’re trying to give him the liberty to do that," Jackson said. If Bryant skipped the last two games and the All-Star Game he would have a full 10 days of rest. However, our guess is that Saturday's game was enough rest for Kobe and that he'll try to play in both games next week. The Lakers get Sunday off, so we are not likely to hear any new updates before Monday. Start him at your own risk.

 Kobe Bryant-G - Lakers Feb. 7 - 1:14 am et

Kobe Bryant (ankle) approached Lakers coach Phil Jackson and asked to sit out Saturday's game -- he is considered day-to-day.
The Lakers play on Monday and Wednesday next week, leaving fantasy owners (in the absence of an update) with a difficult decision. This could be an ideal time for Kobe to get extra rest, but then again he hadn't sat out since 2006 and isn't known for his cautious approach. Stay tuned.
