Kobe Bryant chose not to talk to reporters after Saturday's win over the Blazers while coach Phil Jackson said it was up to Kobe as to whether or not he plays in the two games leading up to the All-Star break, as well as the All-Star game itself.
"There is some time there if he does need to take a longer time, we’re trying to give him the liberty to do that," Jackson said. If Bryant skipped the last two games and the All-Star Game he would have a full 10 days of rest. However, our guess is that Saturday's game was enough rest for Kobe and that he'll try to play in both games next week. The Lakers get Sunday off, so we are not likely to hear any new updates before Monday. Start him at your own risk. Source: Los Angeles Times
