Peja Stojakovic scored a season-high 29 points (11-of-18 FGs) on Monday, including 5-of-8 three-pointers, while grabbing nine rebounds and handing out five assists in his finest performance of the season.
The veteran forward has slowly emerged as a solid fantasy option this season. He's now scored double-digit points in eight consecutive games, averaging 2.3 three-pointers during that span. Expect him to remain a big part of the gameplan for short-handed New Orleans.

Peja Stojakovic hit 8-of-14 shots and four 3-pointers for 23 points, three rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block in Friday's loss.
He's averaging 16 points in his last five games and has hit either three or four 3-pointers in four of those. If he's available in your league, pick him up. He's picking up the scoring gap left by the absence of Chris Paul and Marcus Thornton.

The Hornets defeated the Grizzlies on Saturday with some help from Peja Stojakovic, who had 20 points (5-of-15 shooting), three 3-pointers, five rebounds and one steal.
It's nice to see Peja aggressive, but his January averages provide plenty of reasons for skepticism -- 11.1 points on 40% shooting, 1.8 threes, 3.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists.

James Posey (Achilles) is out indefintely.
At 33-years-old, Posey is going to take his time coming back from this sprain. It will give extra minutes to people like Peja Stojakovic, who logged a season-high 43 in the OT loss Friday.

Peja Stojakovic played 43 minutes Friday, scoring 13 points, grabbing seven rebounds and hitting three treys.
Peja wasn't shooting it well but he kept firing. He finished up 4-of-15 and the 43 minutes were a season-high. We don't love Peja because he's always nicked and shoots 40 percent from the field, but owners in need of 3-pointers need to make sure he's not on the wire.

James Posey did not play Friday against the Bulls due to a strained right Achilles tendon.
Coach Jeff Bower said that he plans to give extra minutes to Peja Stojakovic and Julian Wright in his place. Posey's absence will also help Marcus Thornton, who is locked into the starting SG job and is a sneaky play for those desperate at the guard position.
