Udonis Haslem will not play on Wednesday due to a strained left shoulder.
The good news is that the absence sounds precautionary. "I would definitely play," Haslem said. "But just talking to the trainers, it's probably not the right time to do something like that. I definitely would like to play. I would want to play, but you've got to be smart. You don't want it to be an issue longer that it needs to be." Look for Michael Beasley and Jermaine O'Neal to log even heavier minutes than normal against the Hawks.

Jermaine O'Neal returned from a hip injury and had 19 points, 10 rebounds, a steal and a block on 8-of-11 shooting in Tuesday's loss to the Thunder.
This was just the Heat's third loss of the season, but JO looked good. Consider this a good time to sell high on the big man, who will be an injury risk all season.

Heat center Jermaine O'Neal (hip) expects to play against the Thunder on Tuesday.
We're always leery of O'Neal when he's injured, but he went through the team's full workout on Monday and should be safe to start.

Jermaine O'Neal (hip) and Mario Chalmers (shoulder) are both expected to play Tuesday, but will be re-evaluated on Monday prior to practice.
Unfortunately for owners their status is likely to be determined at Tuesday's shootaround, which is never a good sign, especially for O'Neal. Check back Monday to see if a more solid report has emerged.

Jermaine O'Neal (hip) told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel that he is confident that he will play Tuesday against the Thunder.
"I don't see any reason why I wouldn't play," O'Neal said. "We tried to push the issue of me playing (Saturday), but it just wasn't in the cards." We never feel great about an O'Neal injury situation, but we're going to be cautiously optimistic that he'll play Tuesday.

Heat center Jermaine O'Neal will sit out Saturday's game against the Nets because of a left hip contusion.
O'Neal was a game-time decision and was held out as a precaution, so hopefully this will be the only game he misses. He was replaced in the starting lineup by Joel Anthony, making Jamaal Magloire the backup.
