Zydrunas Ilgauskas, filling in for Shaquille O'Neal (shoulder), had four points, 11 rebounds and two blocks in a win over the Pacers.
His night could have been a whole lot better, but he missed 11 of the 12 shots he took tonight. Shaq has missed four straight games with the injury and there's no target date for his return, so Ilgauskas could play well for a few more games.

Anderson Varejao will miss Tuesday's game against the Warriors with a hip contusion.
No word yet on how serious Varejao's injury is, but he has been struggling of late and was recently replaced in the starting lineup by J.J. Hickson. With both Shaquille O'Neal and Varejao out Tuesday, look for Hickson and Zydrunas Ilgauskas to reap most of the benefits.

Look for Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Anderson Varejao and J.J. Hickson to pick up extra minutes while Shaq remains out.

Shaquille O'Neal missed Monday's practice due to his strained shoulder and is listed as doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Warriors.
Zydrunas Ilgauskas suddenly looks like a sneaky play this week, while Anderson Varejao and J.J. Hickson should both see an increase in minutes and big-man stats for each game that Shaq is out.

Disgruntled Warriors' swingman Stephen Jackson could still be traded to the Cavaliers.
Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Delonte West, Darnell Jackson and Wally Szczerbiak (sign-and-trade) are all possibilities to be moved in the deal, but the Cavs need Big Z as Shaquille O'Neal insurance and Wally's career could be over. While a deal still sounds unlikely, the Cavs are trying to make it work, but Jackson's numbers would likely take a hit if he goes to Cleveland.

Shaq's absence is considered mostly preventitive, and this random DNP highlights one big reason the Cavs are reluctant to trade backup Zydrunas Ilgauskas in a deal for Stephen Jackson.
