Anthony Johnson will play Sunday against the Thunder after missing Friday's game for personal reasons.
He left the team due to the death of his father-in-law, and didn't get back in time for shootaround. Given the fact that the Magic are down to nine players, he could get some decent minutes, but you would have to be really desperate to take that plunge.

Anthony Johnson missed Friday's game for personal reasons.
He's expected to be back in time for Sunday's meeting with Oklahoma City, not that it matters.

Vince Carter will not play Friday against the Pistons, coach Stan Van Gundy said. J.J. Redick will get the start again at SG.
Carter, who has a sprained ankle, practiced today without a noticeable limp; but the Magic will play it safe. Reserve G Anthony Johnson will also miss Friday's game to deal with a family issue.

Veteran point guard Jason Williams had four points, six assists and two steals in a start for the Magic on Tuesday.
Williams started because Jameer Nelson got the night off, and he's still battling for reserve minutes with Anthony Johnson. Neither guy has value while Nelson is healthy.

Magic coach Stan Van Gundy says there is a "pretty good" competition at backup PG, between veterans Anthony Johnson and Jason Williams.
As long as Jameer Nelson is healthy, it shouldn't matter to fantasy owners who is backing him up.

Stan Van Gundy said Wednesday that Jason Williams could play heavy minutes this season if Jameer Nelson were to be injured again.
"The thing that Jason’s got that we really like he can play big minutes if needed, and that’s what ended up happening with Jameer last year when he went down," he said. This isn't really news since Williams is clearly going to be more effective as a backup than Anthony Johnson.
