When asked if he had a target date for Pau Gasol's return from a hamstring injury on Wednesday, Phil Jackson said, "No. We're starting to look toward Christmas, though. Some time out there."
We're guessing/hoping that the oft-sarcastic Jackson was exaggerating somewhat, and a perhaps more realistic report comes from Kevin Ding of the Orange County Register, who writes that Gasol won't play on Thursday or Friday, and may not appear in any of the five Lakers games that follow over the two weeks after that. If there's a positive note for fantasy owners here, it's that the Lakers' schedule does only have five games combined in Weeks 4 and 5. In the meantime, owners should sit tight and hope that the news on Gasol improves in the coming days. Source: Los Angeles Daily News
