Wally Szczerbiak revealed that he had surgery performed on his left knee three weeks ago, and that his career could be over as a result.
"I'm not ready to sign my retirement papers yet," he said. "The doctors have their opinions. I'm getting my body right and see where that takes me." Don't plan on seeing Szczerbiak back in an NBA uniform anytime soon, if at all.

Peter Vescey reports that Wally Szczerbiak has turned down Denver's one-year offer for the veteran's minimum.
Vescey says Wally is wanted in Europe, but is unlikely to go because of his family. He's still a free agent.

The Nuggets are said to be interested in signing free agent forward Ime Udoka.
Udoka spent the last two season with the Spurs and the Nuggets are interested in his defensive skills, as he could help make up for the loss of Dahntay Jones. Free agent Wally Szczerbiak is also still a possibility to sign with Denver.

Free agent Wally Szczerbiak said he's still "in discussions" with the Nuggets.
Szczerbiak's name has been floated around the Nuggets for a few weeks now. We think George Karl is probably pushing for someone more athletic like Desmond Mason or Flip Murray.

The Nuggets are reportedly still in the mix for free agent Wally Szczerbiak.
Szczerbiak would be a slight downgrade from Linas Kleiza, who recently bolted for Europe. He probably wouldn't get enough minutes to make a fantasy impact with the Nuggets. A more interesting option whose name is being floated around the Nuggets is free Rashad McCants. At least he's young enough to run with the Nugs.

Daniel Gibson had 28 points, three rebounds, seven assists, two steals, a block and four 3-pointers, but it wasn't enough as the Cavaliers fell to the Sixers at home in overtime.
Wally Szczerbiak chipped in with 21 points, eight boards and eight assists, but the Cavs failed to match the 85-86 Celtics with a 40-1 home record, clocking in at 39-2. The Cavaliers, who rested most of the starters, including LeBron, are the No. 1 seed in the playoffs, and will open with a first-round series against the Pistons.
