 Marcus Thornton-G- HornetsFeb. 6 - 6:45 pm et
Hornets rookie shooting guard Marcus Thornton will miss his second consecutive game with a sore lower back on Saturday.
Thornton tested his back during pregame warmups but still felt stiffness. Hornets coach Jeff Bower said there is a chance Thornton could play Monday night -- for now, they will use the same lineup with veteran Morris Peterson filling in at SG.

 Morris Peterson-G/F - Hornets Feb. 5 - 11:15 pm et

Morris Peterson started on Friday and had eight points and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes.
James Posey was our Season Pass Pickup of the Day and had eight points, 10 rebounds, six assists, a steal and two 3-pointers off the bench. Posey still looks like the better pickup in the absence of Marcus Thornton, who might be shut down until the break with a back injury.
 Marcus Thornton-G - Hornets Feb. 5 - 11:48 am et

Marcus Thornton will be out of the Hornets lineup Friday night against the Sixers due to a bruised lower back.
The decision to shelve Thornton came at the team's shootaround this morning. According to team reports, Morris Peterson will get the start over James Posey, but Posey is still the recommended fantasy play Consider Thornton day-to-day for now and we still like him as a must-start fantasy play whenever healthy.

 Marcus Thornton-G - Hornets Feb. 4 - 2:06 pm et

Marcus Thornton (back) missed Thursday's practice and is listed as "questionable" for Friday's game against the Sixers.
For now, Thornton's injury is being called a back bruise and his status for Friday will be determined after the shootaround. It doesn't sound serious. If the impressive rookie can't go, James Posey and Morris Peterson would be called upon for extra minutes.

 Morris Peterson-G/F - Hornets Jan. 30 - 10:56 pm et

Hornets swingman Morris Peterson had three points and two rebounds in 21 minutes on Saturday.
He has been battling back spasms but they have obviously subsided -- unfortunately even at 100% health he has negligible fantasy value.
 Morris Peterson-G/F - Hornets Jan. 25 - 11:47 pm et

Hornets swingman Morris Peterson (back spasms) sat out again on Monday.
Mo Pete could crack the rotation now that Devin Brown has been shipped out of New Orleans, but his fantasy value remains sketchy in average leagues.
