 Brian Cardinal-F- TimberwolvesOct. 17 - 11:27 pm et
The Timberwolves started Brian Cardinal at power forward on Saturday. He had six points and three rebounds in 24 minutes.
Cardinal is doubtful to hang onto the starting gig, despite the absence of Kevin Love (broken hand). He'll probably join a platoon including Ryan Gomes, Oleksiy Pecherov, and Ryan Hollins.

 Randy Foye-G - Wizards Apr. 15 - 1:32 pm et

Randy Foye (hip) won't play in the Timberwolves' season finale on Wednesday.
The T-Wolves will go with a veteran's starting lineup of Kevin Ollie, Mike Miller, Mark Madsen, Brian Cardinal and Jason Collins, making Minnesota yet another team that will be difficult to rely on for production on the final night of the season.

 Brian Cardinal-F - Timberwolves Apr. 13 - 11:23 pm et

Brian Cardinal played over 40 minutes off the Timberwolves bench on Monday, finishing with nine points, two 3-pointers, four rebounds, three steals and two turnovers.
Kevin Love, meanwhile, had 10 points and 11 rebounds in less than 19 minutes. With just one game left in the season, it's obvious that coach Kevin McHale has called in the janitor to mop up some minutes.
 Randy Foye-G - Wizards Mar. 25 - 4:47 pm et

The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports that coach Kevin McHale may opt to start five reserves against the Sixers on Wednesday.
Bobby Brown, Kevin Ollie, Rodney Carney, Brian Cardinal and Craig Smith wore black jerseys at practice, indicating that they'll be the starters as McHale attempts to send a message to a team that has lost five in a row and 24 out of its last 28. There's no word on whether or not the bench players would actually play starters' minutes, but this reported shakeup in Minnesota means that normal starters such as Randy Foye could be shaky options at best on Wednesday night.

 Craig Smith-F/C - Clippers Mar. 17 - 11:12 pm et

Craig Smith came off Minnesota's bench on Tuesday for nine points and three rebounds in less than 14 minutes.
Smith had been starting, but was replaced by plodding center Jason Collins (three points in 11 minutes). Brian Cardinal (zero points, four rebounds, three assists in 20 minutes) is also starting to see significant minutes for the Wolves, making Smith an even shakier fantasy option.
 Kirk Hinrich-G - Bulls Feb. 19 - 9:03 am et

A source close to Kirk Hinrich said the Bulls have turned down a trade proposal that would have sent him to Minnesota.
Rumors were swirling earlier in the day that Hinrich could be headed to the Wolves for Jason Collins and Brian Cardinal, but the Bulls reportedly rejected the trade, which would have been a straight salary dump of Hinrich. He appears set to remain in the crowded Bulls back court, barring new developments.
