Carl Landry made his first start of the season for the short-handed Rockets on Tuesday, playing small forward while Shane Battier moved to SG. He had 11 points, six rebounds and three turnovers in 26 minutes.
The move didn't pan out too well and Landry was back on the bench to start the second half, replaced by SG Chase Budinger. Don't think too much of this temporary shuffle -- his role is well-defined and we don't expect it to change.

Aaron Brooks and Co. made easy work of the Warriors on Tuesday with a 119-97 win, and he finished with 24 points on 10-of-20 shooting (including two 3-pointers) with eight rebounds and six assists.
Trevor Ariza scored 18 points on 6-of-16 shooting, Chuck Hayes grabbed 13 boards over the worst rebounding team of the last 20 years, and Shane Battier scored 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting (with two threes) with five rebounds, five assists, and two blocks.

Shane Battier has been playing with a sprained left shoulder since January 22nd, which he aggravated during Friday's game.
Battier described his shoulder as "sore as hell," but he felt better on Saturday doesn't sound likely to miss any games. He's normally a borderline option so start considering your alternatives.

Shane Battier hit just one of his seven shot attempts Wednesday en route to a miserable two point, five rebound performance.
Games like this will happen when you get zero plays ran for you. Battier will bounce back and can still help deep leaguers in treys and the defensive categories.

Shane Battier hit 3-of-7 shots for 10 points, six rebounds, seven assists, a steal, a block and a three in Monday's loss.
Battier is a serviceable fantasy player, especially on four-game weeks. If he's available in your league, he might have more value than someone you're holding.

Coach Rick Adelman said Thursday that he might bring Shane Battier off the bench in Friday's game to match him up with the Spurs' sixth-man Manu Ginobili.
He added that Kyle Lowry or Chase Budinger could start in his place, but we don't think this will change the minute distribution too much, if at all. And if it does, there's a good chance it won't continue into the next game, since Adelman clearly sees the move as being specifically for the Spurs.
