Mehmet Okur went off for 28 points on 11-of-13 shooting in Wednesday's win over the Blazers.
After three straight subpar showings, the Turkish Tornado put up a season-high even though he made just one 3-pointer. It should be a big confidence booster for Okur going forward.

Mehmet Okur had his second straight bad game on Friday, finishing with 11 points, five rebounds, two assists and a block.
The Turkish Tornado also had a couple treys, so it wasn't a completely useless night. Still, we were expecting him to bounce back bigger with Carlos Boozer (calf) out. We're concerned about Okur, but you can't cut him. His potential for 3's and blocks is too high.

Mehmet Okur hit just 1-of-3 shots for two points and four rebounds in 36 minutes.
That is one of the worst lines you'll see from a solid NBA player, as Okur's season of frustration continues. Owners may be ready to dump him, but he should still probably be owned in most leagues. He came in averaging 16 points and 8.5 boards over his last two, so this was probably just an off night.

The Jazz frontcourt of Mehmet Okur (20 points, 11 rebounds) and Carlos Boozer (22 points, nine rebounds) was simply too much for the Nets on Saturday.
They combined to shoot 18-of-26 from the field, and Okur even blocked three shots despite playing just over 21 minutes in the lopsided victory. This was the second-highest scoring game of the season for Okur, and with any luck it'll jumpstart his middling offense.

The Jazz are hoping Mehmet Okur, who is scoring just 12.6 points on 42% shooting, will elevate his play in the second half of the season.
"I think he's just got to pick his tempo up ... and get himself involved a little bit more on defense and in our rebounding," said coach Jerry Sloan. "Teams have gotten to him out on the perimeter. He probably needs to pass the ball and cut to the basket a little bit more." So in short, he only needs to improve his tempo, defense, rebounding, and offense. Hmmm.
