Nets forward Bobby Simmons missed Saturday's game to attend to personal matters in Chicago.
Terrence Williams replaced him in the starting lineup but managed just eight points and three rebounds in 28 minutes. The Nets don't play again until Tuesday, so it's possible this will be the only game Simmons misses.

Chris Douglas-Roberts returned on Friday after a bout with swine flu -- he came off the bench for five points on 2-of-6 shooting in 18 minutes.
CDR shouldn't have much trouble re-overtaking veterans Trenton Hassell or Bobby Simmons for a starting gig, as the Nets are obviously playing with an eye to the future (in Brooklyn?) this season.

With the Nets only expecting to have eight players in uniform, Terrence Williams could get the start for the Nets on Wednesday.
Bobby Simmons is also a candidate to get the start, but Williams is likely to be a better fantasy play even if he's coming off the bench. If you're willing to gamble on a potential hit in field goal percentage, this looks like a good day to gamble on Williams posting a nice line for the short-handed Nets.

Bobby Simmons started for the short-handed Nets on Saturday and had 10 points, five rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes.
Simmons was forced into action with most of the Nets' starting lineup injured or ill. We thought he'd be a better player this season and it's possible he uses this opportunity to earn more minutes down the line. Keep an eye on him, but there's no need to pick him up in most leagues - yet.

With the Nets ravaged by injury and illness, Bobby Simmons, Trenton Hassell and Josh Boone, who hardly played at the start of the season, were in the starting lineup on Saturday against the, gulp, Celtics.
Rafer Alston and Brook Lopez rounded out the starting five, with Lopez being the only regular in the bunch. Eduardo Najera started in the last one, but it was Boone at PF tonight. We'll let you know how things went after the game.
