Newly-acquired Jarron Collins says he's ready for whatever role the Suns need him to fill.
With Robin Lopez on the shelf with a fractured foot, Collins could regularly see time in the team's rotation. "I'm very professional about my job," Collins said. "Whenever I'll be called upon to go there and do my job, I will do that to the best of my abilities." The Suns open the season Wednesday night against the Clippers.

The Suns claimed Jarron Collins off waivers and he should crack the rotation while Robin Lopez recovers from a fractured foot.
The veteran provides some much-needed size and defensive ability to the Phoenix frontcourt, but he doesn't have fantasy value.

Rookie Patty Mills has made the Blazers' final roster, meaning that Ime Udoka and Jarron Collins will be waived on Thursday.
Mills is out indefinitely with a foot injury, but the Blazers thought they were better off holding onto the point guard instead of the bigger players.

The Blazers will reportedly waive Ime Udoka and Jarron Collins on Thursday.
In addition to the surprise of Udoka being cut, the upshot of this news is that point guard Patrick Mills, a second-round pick from St. Mary's, has secured the final roster spot even though he can't resume basketball activities until January after undergoing foot surgery.
