Jared Jeffries played only three minutes on Friday before leaving with "general soreness."
Jeffries was seen stretching his ankle on the sidelines, so we're assuming that was the problem. Hopefully you aren't relying on him for fantasy value, as his role changes chameleon-like based upon matchups.

Larry Hughes will replace Jared Jeffries in the starting lineup for the Knicks on Monday.
Hughes played well in his last game, scoring 18 points to go along with five rebounds, six assists and four steals. Apparently the plans for a buyout have been put on hold, and Hughes is probably a more effective player than JJ. That said, given that this season is a lost cause, why not put a young guy like Toney Douglas out there?

Jared Jeffries is the favorite to move to the bench if Danilo Gallinari gets promoted to the starting lineup for Friday's game.
Coach Mike D'Antoni has indicated that he may make a change, but in any event he's not changing players' roles. If he does come off the bench, Jeffries' value shouldn't change too much, which means it is hovering somewhere between irrelevant and mediocre.

Jared Jeffries has won the starting small forward job for the Knicks.
He'll start over Danilo Gallinari in Wednesday's opener, although it's anyone's guess how long he stays there. He has value in a 30-team league, but we doubt he does enough to warrant a roster spot in most leagues.

Danilo Gallinari will not be in the starting lineup when the Knicks open the season against the Heat on Wednesday night.
Jared Jeffries will get the call after Gallinari struggled with his shot in the preseason, hitting just 15-of-49 shots. Chris Duhon, Wilson Chandler, Al Harrington and David Lee will join Jeffries in the starting unit.

Coach Mike D'Antoni confirmed that his starting lineup on opening night will consist of Al Harrington, Chris Duhon, Wilson Chandler, David Lee, and Jared Jeffries.
Harrington's value shouldn't change too much with the starting nod, since he led the team in scoring as a reserve last year.
