 Melvin Ely-F/C- KingsOct. 25 - 1:35 pm et
The Suns apparently have some interest in F/C Melvin Ely according to beat writer Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic.
The Suns are in desperate need of rebounding so anybody above 6'8" tall is probably being considered. Ely has a long way to go before he would be relevant in fantasy leagues, assuming he actually makes the high-flying Suns' squad.

 Melvin Ely-F/C - Kings Oct. 21 - 3:30 pm et

The Kings have cut Melvin Ely and Lanny Smith from their preseason roster.
Both players have seen only limited minutes during the preseason, so this comes as no big surprise. The team's roster now sits at 14.

 Melvin Ely-F/C - Kings Sep. 27 - 9:43 am et

The Kings added Melvin Ely to their training camp roster, though his odds of making the team appear slim.
Ely was entirely unimpressive during his past two seasons with the Hornets. Even if he makes the roster, he would be stuck behind guys like Spencer Hawes, Jason Thompson, and even Omri Casspi and Sean May.

 Tyson Chandler-C - Bobcats Apr. 13 - 1:25 am et

Tyson Chandler (ankle) is expected to play 20-25 minutes on Wednesday against the Spurs.
It sounds like Chandler is good enough to go Monday against the Rockets, but that coach Byron Scott doesn't want him playing two games in three days after being on the shelf for so long. Chandler will be a risky play due to his conditioning and rust, especially since he wasn't consistent when healthy.

 Tyson Chandler-C - Bobcats Apr. 12 - 6:04 pm et

Coach Byron Scott said that Tyson Chandler (ankle) is nearly ready to get back on the court, but he likely won’t allow him to play until Wednesday’s regular season finale at San Antonio on Wednesday.
The combination of Melvin Ely, Sean Marks, and Hilton Armstrong are picking up the slack in Chandler's absence, but none of them will provide value in fantasy leagues. When Chandler returns, he will be a risky play in fantasy leagues, as he wasn't that consistent of a play when healthy.
 Hilton Armstrong-F/C - Hornets Apr. 12 - 12:38 pm et

Hilton Armstrong has been benched by coach Byron Scott for a lack of effort, and will be replaced in the starting lineup by Melvin Ely on Sunday.
"Mel will start and Sean (Marks) will back him up," Scott said. "More activity, really. Just have someone out there more active and playing a little bit harder." Armstrong has a total of three rebounds in 56 minutes of playing time over his last three games, and isn't likely to even get in the game today.
