DOB: 3/9/1980
AGE:29

 Matt Barnes-G/F- MagicFeb. 7 - 5:17 pm et
Matt Barnes posted a decent line in Sunday's win over the Celtics, scoring 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting (3-of-4 from downtown) with five rebounds and three assists in 26 minutes.
He has been much too inconsistent to use in fantasy leagues for nearly a month, but is definitely worth watching since he plays just south of 30 minutes per game. Owners in deep leagues should watch to see if he can string together a few of these performances.

 Mickael Pietrus-G/F - Magic Feb. 5 - 10:18 pm et

Mickael Pietrus returned from an ankle sprain Friday and had four points in 14 minutes.
He wasn't doing much before he was injured, and Matt Barnes (6 points, 28 minutes) is actually a much better option.
 Mickael Pietrus-G/F - Magic Feb. 1 - 1:30 am et

Mickael Pietrus will probably miss about a week with the ankle injury he suffered in Sunday's win over the Pistons.
He was having one of his better games in the past few weeks before rolling his ankle on a made 3-pointer. We'll get a clearer timetable in the next few days, but in the meantime Matt Barnes gets a bit of a boost in the quest for his lost fantasy relevance.

 Mickael Pietrus-G/F - Magic Jan. 31 - 10:25 pm et

As luck would have it, Mickael Pietrus left Sunday's game with an ankle injury after posting one of his better scoring nights in recent memory with 14 points on 4-of-6 shooting (including four 3-pointers).
He walked off under his own power, but if we were forced to guess we'd say he's going to miss a game or two. If he does then perhaps Matt Barnes, who has scored less than five points in four of his last five games, can resuscitate his fantasy value -- but we're not counting on it.
 Matt Barnes-G/F - Magic Jan. 29 - 12:06 am et

Matt Barnes played just 23 minutes on Thursday, scoring five points on 1-of-4 shooting with six rebounds, no assists, and a steal.
He has the starting small forward job, but both him and Mickael Pietrus (two points, seven minutes) have faded from the fantasy landscape. Barnes started strong in January, but has an average of five points and five rebounds over his last four games.
 Matt Barnes-G/F - Magic Jan. 25 - 11:04 pm et

Magic forward Matt Barnes was scoreless in 28 minutes on Monday, going 0-of-3 from the field with five rebounds, three assists and one steal.
Mickael Pietrus wasn't any better off the bench, shooting 0-of-5 in 17 minutes, and credit should be given to the Grizzlies' defense. Both guys' production will fluctuate from game to game, but as a starter Barnes is averaging 12.4 points, 1.2 threes, 7.6 rebounds and 1.2 steals.
