Quinton Ross (back) returned to action against the Bobcats on Saturday, playing just 12 minutes and totaling only three rebounds in the box score.
Ross may get some minutes from time to time, especially when the Mavs face a premier perimeter player. That said, he is very unlikely to have fantasy value this season unless there are a few injuries in Dallas.

Mavericks swingman Quinton Ross expects to miss another game or two with his lower back problem.
"It's still the same," Ross said on Monday. "I'm getting it worked on, but it's still not right."

We're calling him questionable for Wednesday's game, though his availability isn't likely to impact any fantasy rosters.

Shawn Marion (ankle) said he will not play Friday against the Kings, but should be back for Tuesday's game against the Warriors.
"It's feeling better," Marion said Friday. "Just a couple more days and I should be good." Look for Quinton Ross to start again in his place.

Mavericks rookie Roddy Beaubois started at SG on Friday, in place of injured Josh Howard (ankle). He attempted six of the team's first 10 shots, but finished with just nine points on 3-of-7 shooting.
There is no timetable for Howard's return, but Beaubois played just 15 minutes and will likely be kept on a very short leash -- especially with capable players like Jason Terry, Quinton Ross, and J.J. Barea coming off the bench.
