Due to concern over their potentially depleted receiver corps, the Patriots reportedly tried several free agents on Friday, including former Seahawk Courtney Taylor.
Chris Davis (Titans), Larry Beavers (Panthers), Anthony Armstrong (Dolphins), and Will Franklin (Raiders) were also there. Randy Moss and Wes Welker are both questionable for Week 3. If the Pats sign a receiver on Saturday, it'll be a bad sign for their top wideouts' chances of playing Sunday.

Seahawks waived WR Courtney Taylor.

According to Seahawks beat writer Danny O'Neil, WR Courtney Taylor is "poised on the brink of a breakout."
We've heard this story before. Taylor dominated in practice and then gets a shot in the game and falls on his face. T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Deion Branch are now blocking Taylor, so he isn't even going to get a chance this year.
