The Jaguars have promoted Bryan Smith into the starting lineup at right defensive end, replacing Quentin Groves.
Groves, an emerging bust from the 2008 NFL Draft, has just 16 tackles, no sacks, and one hit-and-run accusation on the season. Smith had three QB hits off the bench in Week 9. He's a pressure player, but will likely be a liability against the run at just 6'2/245. Of course, Groves is only 6'3/259. Source: jaguars.com
