Sports Illustrated's Peter King says that "Terrell Owens in stripes will happen the day I run an ultra-marathon."

In other words, King is pretty sure T.O. isn't going to land in Cincinnati. Chris Mortensen said about the same thing on Sunday morning and it makes sense. The Bengals need someone that can stretch the field vertically and Owens is no longer that guy. He'll find that not many teams will be beating down his door as a free agent.

Free agent Terrell Owens said he was willing to join Chad Ochocinco with the Bengals, but he's not ruling out a return to Buffalo either.

"I would like to be a Bill under the right circumstances," Owens said. "I want to compete for a Super Bowl. If the neccessary pieces are put in place for that to happen, then I'll be there." As expected, Ochocinco's "prediction" was far less of a guarantee and more of a playful recruiting tactic.

According to FoxSports' Jay Glazer, Chad Ochocinco is convinced free agent Terrell Owens will sign with the Bengals this offseason.

It's hard to take the mischievous Ochocinco at face value, but T.O. makes sense on the surface. The Bengals needs a receiver upgrade, and they may be the only team in the league that doesn't factor in character concerns. As a 36-year-old who struggles to break man coverage at the line, though, T.O. doesn't fill the team's need for a playmaking down-field threat.

According to beat writer Mike Preston, the Ravens would only bring Derrick Mason back as a No. 2 receiver.

The Ravens need a bigger, faster No. 1 receiver to push Mason down the depth chart and Mark Clayton out of the rotation. Anquan Boldin, Brandon Marshall, Antonio Bryant, and Terrell Owens are expected to be available beginning in March.

The Buffalo News calls it a "virtual lock" that impending free agent Terrell Owens won't be back with the Bills next season.

Owens, 36, is clearly declining and probably doesn't fit new GM Buddy Nix's plans. T.O. hasn't ruled out returning to Buffalo, but that's probably because he knows there won't be many teams out there beating down his door.

Impressed by the hiring of new GM Buddy Nix, impending free agent Terrell Owens wouldn't close the door on a return to Buffalo in 2010.

T.O. loves the fans in Buffalo, but he was clearly frustrated by the team's quarterback play and futile offense. With little interest expected on the open market, Owens' choices will be limited again this offseason.
