The Santa Rosa Press Democrat's Matt Maiocco reports that 49ers CB Walt Harris tore his ACL during Tuesday's voluntary practice.
The Niners could try stashing him on PUP to start the season, but he's more likely to land on season-ending injured reserve. Harris is 34 and in the last year of his contract, so this is a career-threatening injury. If Maiocco's report is true, the Niners will likely have to go with Tarell Brown at right cornerback. Shawntae Spencer is recovering from his own knee issues. Source: Santa Rosa Press Democrat
