An investigative report by CBS sheds new light on the Steve McNair murder and highlights inconsistencies in the allegation that Sahel Kazemi killed McNair and then herself.

The full report is expected to be revealed Tuesday morning. In July, Nashville police said "the totality of the evidence clearly points to a murder-suicide."

Tennessee's assistant medical examiner said Monday that Steve McNair's blood-alcohol content was roughly 0.16 when he was killed.

Sahel "Jenni" Kazemi, the 20-year old woman who (allegedly) shot McNair and then herself, had a small amount of marijuana in her system, but no alcohol.

Nashville police formally classified the deaths of Steve McNair and mistress Sahel Kazemi as a murder-suicide at a press conference Wednesday.

Police announced that McNair was asleep when Kazemi (allegedly) put two bullets in his chest and two in his head, then executed herself. Kazemi also told friends about her plan to "end it all" after she suspected him of having another mistress. Kazemi's life "was spinning out of control," the Nashville police chief said, adding that "Mr. McNair's shots were likely very quick. The totality of the evidence clearly points to a murder-suicide."

Preliminary test results show that Steve McNair's mistress, Sahel Kazemi, fired the gun found at the scene of their deaths.

Tennessee state medical examiner Dr. Feng Li conducted autopsies on the bodies and found gunpowder on Kazemi's hands. The residue was traced back to the gun found under Kazemi's body, which she bought days earlier. Nashville police haven't made it official yet, but most signs continue to point towards a murder-suicide. More evidence will be revealed later this afternoon.

Former Ravens and Titans quarterback Steve McNair is unlikely to get the nod from Hall of Fame voters when he is eligible in 2013.

17 of the 24 voters who responded to The Baltimore Sun's poll this week said they didn't consider McNair a Hall of Fame QB, with five of the other seven being undecided. In 13 seasons, McNair finished with a 60.1 completion rate and an 82.8 passer rating while never throwing for more than 3,400 yards and 25 touchdowns. His career record was 91-62 and he led his team to the playoffs five times. He was a very good quarterback, but probably not "great."

The gun found at the scene of Steve McNair and Sahel Kazemi's deaths matches the semiautomatic pistol recently bought by Kazemi, Nashville police confirmed on Monday.

Kazemi's ex-boyfriend was questioned "in detail," but is not a suspect and no other suspects are being pursued. Police are now testing if gunshot residue was present on Kazemi's hands after her body was found. It's unclear how Kazemi, 20, got the gun. Anyone under 21 is prohibited from purchasing a handgun, and Tennessee requires a person to be 21 to have carry permit. Police are clearly leaning towards labeling the deaths a murder-suicide.
