 Brian Urlacher-LB- BearsSep. 14 - 6:23 pm et
Bears placed MLB Brian Urlacher (wrist surgery) on injured reserve, ending his season.
The bad news is that Chicago's 2009 defense takes a major hit, and Urlacher will be 32 the next time he steps onto the field. The good news is his injury wasn't to his legs, and Urlacher won't necessarily lose any range or explosiveness. His salary is $6.8 million next year, but he'll return as a starter. Urlacher was very active in Week 1 before his unlucky season-ending injury.

 Brian Urlacher-LB - Bears Sep. 14 - 10:48 am et

Brian Urlacher will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a dislocated wrist.
There's no official word from the team yet, but it doesn't sound good as Urlacher had to have a dislocated bone put back in. It's a huge blow to the Bears' defense, which will either shift Lance Briggs to middle linebacker or try to use veteran Hunter Hillenmeyer to fill the gap. Also, former Buc Derrick Brooks is available and knows Lovie Smith's system.

Footballoutsiders.com is reporting that Brian Urlacher will miss 4-6 weeks after undergoing surgery on his dislocated wrist.
The site doesn't normally break news, but injury expert Will Carroll has connections with team medical staffs. Veteran Hunter Hillenmeyer will fill in for Urlacher, which will hurt the Bears run defense. We'd still sit Willie Parker against Chicago in Week 2.

Bears coach Lovie Smith revealed in his post-game press conference that Brian Urlacher suffered a dislocated wrist in Sunday night's loss.
The injury cost Urlacher almost all of the second half and brings his Week 2 status into question. Hunter Hillenmeyer filled in Sunday night, but isn't nearly as good against the run. The Bears face Pittsburgh next weekend.

Brian Urlacher was sidelined in the third quarter Sunday evening with a right wrist injury and will not return.
Urlacher had three tackles before departing. We'll keep you updated on the severity of the injury as more information streams in. A fractured wrist would cost the veteran several weeks and the Bears have few reliable options to replace him. Jamar Williams is banged up and Hunter Hillenmeyer recorded just 18 tackles in 2008.

According to beat writer Brad Biggs, Brian Urlacher looks like he is getting his second wind.
Urlacher is entering his 10th season and had a disasterous season last year. Now he looks leaner and is moving better. He may be a little overvalued by IDP-ers because of his name, but it's sounding like a nice season is on the way.
