Charlotte police confirmed that Bengals WR Chris Henry passed away Thursday morning.
Henry had been on life support since falling out of the back of a pickup truck following a domestic dispute with his fiancee Wednesday. Henry had a string of early-career arrests, but recently turned his life around after getting a second chance from the Bengals and commissioner Roger Goodell. When focused and eligible, Henry was one of the game's most dangerous deep threats and a red-zone beast, averaging 15.6 YPC for his career and scoring nine touchdowns on just 36 catches in his second season. The 26-year-old is survived by his fiancee Loleini Tonga and three children they were raising. |
