 Arian Foster-RB- TexansNov. 17 - 7:33 pm et
Texans activated RB Arian Foster from the practice squad.
This is a situation worth watching. Foster may initially see time on special teams, but coach Gary Kubiak made it clear that he wants to see more of the rookie on offense. Foster was considered an early-round prospect before an injury-plagued senior season at Tennessee. If the current trio can't improve their fumbling issues and 3.4 YPC, Foster could get a shot later on.

 Ryan Moats-RB - Texans Nov. 7 - 5:02 pm et

Ryan Moats will start at running back for the Texans Sunday, according to ESPN's Bob Holzman.
Holzman got the news from Texans coach Gary Kubiak, and relayed it to Adam Schefter. The news isn't a shock, but certainly helps Moats' fantasy value in a decent matchup against the Colts. Steve Slaton and Chris Brown will both likely be heavily involved, so Moats is a good, not great, flex option.

 Steve Slaton-RB - Texans Nov. 2 - 4:53 pm et

Texans coach Gary Kubiak remained noncommittal about his starting running back on Monday, saying "all three backs will play."
Kubiak figures to ride the hot hand, and Ryan Moats has it now. Steve Slaton should remain involved in some capacity because he's the club's best bet for big plays, but his workload threatens to diminish significantly after losing five fumbles in the first eight games. "I told him to keep his chin up," Kubiak said of Slaton. "We're going to need him." Still, take a wait-and-see approach with this backfield in Week 9 against Indianapolis.

 Chris Brown-RB - Texans Nov. 1 - 4:07 pm et

Chris Brown ran seven times for 22 yards and caught two passes for seven yards in the Texans' Week 8 win.
Ryan Moats leapfrogged Brown, getting the nod as Houston's featured back with Steve Slaton benched after the first quarter. Brown stayed active as a "change of pace" runner and saw some short-yardage carries, but still needs at least one injury to be a consistent contributor in fantasy football.
 Ryan Moats-RB - Texans Nov. 1 - 3:57 pm et

Ryan Moats rushed for 126 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries and caught two passes for 25 yards in the Texans' Week 8 win over Buffalo.
Moats took over as Houston's featured back after Steve Slaton lost a first-quarter fumble. He churned out productive carry after productive carry, playing ahead of Chris Brown and even getting the ball in some short-yardage situations. Moats' final two scores were from one and three yards out, respectively. While it's fairly hard to imagine Slaton being completely dropped from the offensive game plan, Moats has obviously earned a larger role. He'll be worth grabbing in all leagues this week.
 Steve Slaton-RB - Texans Oct. 26 - 11:07 am et

Despite another lost fumble, Texans coach Gary Kubiak expressed confidence in Steve Slaton after Sunday's game.
"People smell blood because he's put some balls on the ground," Kubiak said. "Steve's our guy, and I have a lot of confidence in him. It's our job to help him find a way to hold on to the football." Slaton is in no danger of losing his feature back job to Chris Brown. He'll be a fantasy asset as long as he remains active in the passing game.
