Impending free agent OLB Mike Vrabel, surprisingly, said Tuesday that he'd like to return to the Chiefs in 2010.
Vrabel finished his worst season in nine years with two sacks for the 4-12 team. "There’s a desire by both parties to get something done," he said. "I’d love to come back here and be a part of getting this thing turned around."

Chiefs OLB Mike Vrabel is out indefinitely with a knee injury.
Beat reporter Kent Babb believes it's serious, twittering that he'd "count (Vrabel) out for Sunday. And the next Sunday. And maybe the next Sunday, too." Vrabel has one sack in nine starts, so his loss isn't significant.

Chiefs LB Mike Vrabel left Sunday's game against the Raiders with an apparent left knee injury.
Vrabel looks questionable to return and was replaced by Andy Studebaker.

Mike Vrabel explained away his absence from all Chiefs voluntary workouts by saying he was "just trying to exercise my rights within the (CBA)" and that the practices were not mandatory for players.
Still, both parties would've been much better off had Vrabel attended. He's supposed to be the leader of new coordinator Clancy Pendergast's hybrid defense and is out of Bill Belichick's system for the first time this decade.

Chiefs G Brian Waters and OLB Mike Vrabel were absent from Monday's practice.
Vrabel has been tight-lipped, but Waters is clearly still disgruntled. Neither player is expected to return to workouts as long as they are voluntary.

Mike Vrabel, who finally reported for offseason workouts Friday, says he was "confused" that the Patriots traded him to the Chiefs.
"I didn’t sign up (to play in K.C.)," he said. "There’s a difference in this league in being a free agent and being traded. I don’t know what to tell you. I got a call in March, and here I am." Vrabel softened his comments by saying, "I'm here and happy," but he'd clearly rather be in New England.
