According to beat writer Jason Reid, it appears Ladell Betts (torn MCL, ACL) "has played his last game for the Redskins."
Betts is signed through 2013, with his salary increasing from $900,000 to $1.65M next season. With both knee ligaments torn, the 30-year-old is a poor bet to return to pre-injury form by the start of next season -- if at all. The Redskins have plenty of needs this offseason, and running back will have to be near the top of the list.

Redskins placed RB Ladell Betts on injured reserve with a torn MCL and ACL, ending his season.
He'll need reconstructive knee surgery. Already lacking game-breaking speed, Betts isn't a sure thing to stay with the Skins in 2010 despite a manageable $1.65 million salary. He's also likely to miss all pre-training camp workouts. Washington needs to begin searching for a long-term replacement for declining Clinton Portis. At 31 next season, Betts isn't it.

Ladell Betts tore both his ACL and MCL during Sunday's loss to the Cowboys and will need surgery.
Betts' season is over, just as he was getting a chance to show what he could do with Clinton Portis (concussion) out. The Redskins will now be forced to turn to Rock Cartwright and Quinton Ganther as their primary runners behind a backup-level offensive line. It's unlikely that Betts, 30, will be ready for the start of next season.

Ladell Betts tore his the MCL in his left knee during Sunday's loss to the Cowboys.
Betts was injured when Cowboys linebacker Bradie James landed awkwardly on Betts' back leg. Betts was helped to the sideline before being carted off the field in a huge aircast. Look for the Redskins to sign a free agent, while Rock Cartwright will immediately assume a starting role. Betts is scheduled for an MRI on Monday and is out for the foreseeable future.

Ladell Betts is out of Sunday's game against the Cowboys with a knee injury and will not return.
Betts got hit by two Cowboys and his back leg got rolled up on awkwardly. It looked like he may have re-injured his foot sprain at first, but it turns out Betts' knee was damaged. The fact that he was ruled out for the rest of the game so quickly is a bad sign. Rock Cartwright and Quinton Ganther are the only other running backs active today for the Redskins.

Clinton Portis (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game at Dallas.
This was expected. Portis has yet to practice this week and is still experiencing the aftereffects from his concussion two weeks after the fact. We're not counting on him to return next week either. Ladell Betts is healthier this week than last and will carry the load against the Cowboys' strong run defense.
