Jason Campbell left Sunday's game at Atlanta in favor of Todd Collins in the second quarter with an alleged "chest contusion."
Campbell completed 5-of-8 throws for 73 yards, but generated just three points, threw a pick six, and took five sacks. The team initially indicated that Campbell was "probable" to return, but his performance had to be a factor. Campbell appeared healthy on the sideline.

 Todd Collins-QB - Redskins Oct. 21 - 9:20 am et

Coach Jim Zorn told backup Todd Collins to "be ready" Monday night, sources told Jason Reid of the Washington Post.
Jason Campbell was named the starter by Zorn, but he'll clearly be on a very short leash. Zorn knows that a loss to the Eagles would be the final nail in his already built coffin. Zorn's confidence with Campbell has reached new lows.

Jason Campbell will remain the Redskins' starter for Monday night's game against the Eagles, a source tells Jason La Canfora of NFL.com.
Campbell was benched at halftime of last week's ugly loss to the Chiefs, and lame duck coach Jim Zorn wouldn't commit to a starter on Monday. ESPN's Chris Mortensen hinted that new playcaller Sherm Lewis preferred Campbell to backup Todd Collins. Don't expect a miraculous turnaround from this offense. The Eagles defense will come out firing against Washington's injury-ruined offensive line.

Redskins coach Jim Zorn said he doesn't know yet who will be his starting quarterback Monday night against the Eagles.
Jason Campbell was benched at halftime of Sunday's loss after going 9-of-16 for 89 yards with an interception. Todd Collins came in and didn't fare any better. Campbell will be a free agent after this season and the Redskins will almost certainly go looking for a new quarterback to build around.

Redskins coach Jim Zorn indicated in his post-game presser Sunday that Jason Campbell's Week 6 benching is not permanent.
"Campbell was not comfortable," Zorn said. "This was all about today for Jason. This is not a wholesale change." The Skins are likely to have a new coach very soon, so Zorn won't be dictating the quarterback depth chart much longer. Todd Collins likely didn't play well enough in relief to steal the job Sunday, managing just 75 yards on 14 pass attempts with two fumbles.

 Todd Collins-QB - Redskins Oct. 18 - 4:13 pm et

Todd Collins completed 6-of-14 passes for 75 yards after replacing Jason Campbell at halftime in Week 6 against the Chiefs.
Collins' first throw was a 42-yard pass to Santana Moss, but then managed just 33 yards on his next 13 tosses before taking a sack in the end zone to seal the loss for Washington. Campbell certainly hasn't played well, but he's hardly the Redskins' biggest problem and it's tough to imagine the 37-year-old Collins being an upgrade.
