Jerricho Cotchery will return punts for the Jets against the Patriots this week.
Safety Jim Leonhard, the normal punt returner, is expected to miss the game following thumb surgery. Cotchery hasn't returned punts since 2005 and is unlikely to a significant value increase in return yardage leagues this week.

Jerricho Cotchery caught six passes for 68 yards and one touchdown in Week 10 against the Jaguars.
New York went deep to Cotchery on the very first play of the game, but the ball was underthrown and picked off by Rashean Mathis. He later beat Mathis for a red zone score. Ignoring the games he missed with an injury, 68 yards is Cotchery's second-worst total of the season.

Jerricho Cotchery caught three passes for 70 yards against the Dolphins in Week 8.
Cotchery played a full complement of snaps and was targeted eight times, highlighted by a nifty 53-yard catch-and-run. He is healthy and should resume every-week WR3 status coming out of the Jets' Week 9 bye.

Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring) is expected to play on Sunday against the Dolphins.
Cotchery injured the hammy in practice three weeks ago and hasn't played since the Jets' loss to Miami in Week 5 on Monday Night Football. The Dolphins are starting two rookie corners today, so it should be a good matchup for Jets' receivers.

Jets coach Rex Ryan confirmed Friday that he expects Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring) to play in Week 8. Cotchery was "limited" in Friday's practice.
Cotchery is "questionable" on the injury report, but took part in at least a portion of practice all week. He is a fairly risky fantasy play coming off the injury, but should still be considered a solid WR3 against Miami's struggling secondary. Cotchery will be covered by a rookie corner on Sunday.

Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring) was limited again in Thursday's practice.
Cotchery has declared himself ready for game action, so expect him to start against the Dolphins barring a setback. If he can put in a full practice on Friday, Cotchery will be a viable WR3 option against the Dolphins' rookie corners.
