ESPN's Mike Reiss reports that Randy Moss played through a separated shoulder for most of the regular season.
The Boston Herald reports that Moss suffered the injury in Week 5. This may help explain why Moss was a non-factor in New England's playoff loss and sat out the Pro Bowl. Whether he needs surgery is uncertain, but the injury shouldn't sideline Moss for OTAs. Moss also had knee and back issues during the season. The 33-year-old's body may be beginning to let him down some.

 Randy Moss-WR - Patriots Jan. 15 - 6:18 pm et

Randy Moss has opted out of the Pro Bowl due to an undisclosed injury.
Well, it's not really undisclosed. Moss was clearly at less than 100% in the Patriots' first-round playoff loss after being spotted icing his knees the entire week leading up to the game and hobbling around the locker room. It wouldn't be surprising this spring if it's revealed that he needed an offseason scope.

Randy Moss caught five balls for 48 yards in the Patriots' Wild Card round loss to the Ravens.
Clearly not 100 percent, Moss was essentially used as a decoy to run clear-out routes while Julian Edelman and Kevin Faulk worked the middle of the field. The 33-year-old continued to score often, but wore down during the season's stretch run, averaging just 53 yards per contest in the Pats' final eight games. He will still be a top 5-8 receiver in 2010 fantasy drafts with Tom Brady a full year removed from his knee reconstruction.

Randy Moss has been added to the AFC's Pro Bowl roster, replacing injured teammate Wes Welker.
This will be the future Hall of Famer's seventh Pro Bowl. Moss was a fairly shocking snub initially despite leading the NFL in touchdown catches (13). The 33-year-old (in February) also caught 83 balls for 1,264 yards (15.2 YPC).

Patriots coach Bill Belichick announced after Friday's practice that Randy Moss doesn't have an injury, despite sitting out the workout. Moss is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Ravens.
Moss was spotted icing his knees and limping around throughout the week. The Patriots, of course, are as secretive as any team when asked to reveal injuries. Moss' absence on Friday was officially listed as "not injury related."

Randy Moss, who is nursing an undisclosed leg injury, was not present for the start of Friday's practice.
It's always hard to gauge what a late-week missed practice means for the Patriots, but beat writer Ian Rapoport revealed that Moss has been "limping around the locker room" the past two days. The Pats have shown no concern over Moss' health this week, so we're not ready to consider his status in jeopardy for Sunday. Check back for an update.
