The Browns worked out free agent WR Robert Ferguson, according to Adam Caplan.
The Browns could use a playmaker opposite Mohammad Massaquoi, but Ferguson wouldn't be much of an upgrade over Brian Robiskie, Chansi Stuckey or Mike Furrey.

Falcons waived TE Jason Rader, DT Vance Walker, LB Jamie Winborn, WR Robert Ferguson, and CB William Middleton.
Ferguson lost out to Marty Booker, which says plenty about what's left of his ability. Walker and Middleton were both draft picks this year. Winborn will be an option again if one of Atlanta's linebackers goes down.

Even though he just started practicing on Monday, Roddy White is expected to see some action in Saturday's preseason opener.
White's holdout is already water under the bridge. He's a solid WR1. Meanwhile, newly acquired receievers Robert Ferguson and Marty Booker are reportedly picking up the offense quickly and are expected to play Saturday.

Falcons signed WR Robert Ferguson.
Ike Hilliard also worked out for the Falcons. Ferguson won't be Harry Douglas' replacement in the slot. The team was in contact with the free agent before Douglas' injury, and he doesn't profile as a slot receiver. Ferguson is another camp body at receiver with Roddy White holding out, and he's no lock to make the final roster.
