Jason Witten caught 10 balls for 98 yards in the Cowboys' second-round playoff loss to the Vikings.
Playcaller Jason Garrett tried to exploit Vikes MLB Jasper Brinkley's coverage shortcomings early with Witten over the middle. The plan was successful, until Shaun Suisham began shanking field goals and Tony Romo turned the ball over. Witten, still just 27, made a huge late-season push to finish as a top-eight fantasy tight end for the fifth year in his last six. There are more explosive TE options now, but he'll be a strong mid-round pick in 2010 drafts.

Jason Witten was held to 27 yards on four receptions against the Eagles in Saturday night's first-round playoff game.
Witten's finest game this was not. He was penalized three times, twice on the opening drive costing the Cowboys a potential touchdown. Witten could have salvaged his fantasy day in the second quarter, but he was pushed out at the 1-yard line. Witten heads to Minnesota to exploit a Vikes defense that has struggled against tight ends all season.

Jason Witten caught six passes for 76 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's blowout of the Eagles.
Witten took a lot of heat as a fantasy bust this season, but his final numbers are pretty impressive. He caught 94 balls and broke 1,000 yards for the second time in his career. The two touchdowns were, of course, a huge disappointment, but he's an elite option in fantasy playoff leagues.

Witten finally found open space Sunday night and used his legs to gain monstrous yardage totals after the catch. His 69-yard rumble in the second quarter set up a Marion Barber three-yard touchdown. Witten has found pay dirt just once this season but remains a major target for QB Tony Romo.

In the last two weeks, Witten has regressed to his early-season form. He's working the middle of the field and getting nothing after the catch. After breaking out in Weeks 12 and 13, Witten has just 93 yards in Weeks 14 and 15.

Jason Witten caught four passes for 49 yards in Sunday's loss to the Chargers.
Witten finally cooled off after back-to-back 100-yard games. The Cowboys went run-heavy in the first half and then watched as the Chargers grinded out the clock late. He still has just one touchdown on the year and has been one of the bigger busts despite 77 catches in 13 games.
