Lions offensive coordinator Scott Linehan said he needs an "eraser" to keep defenses from keying on Calvin Johnson.
Linehan didn't openly rip Bryant Johnson, but he might as well have. The former first-round pick consistently failed to get open despite seeing single coverage thanks to Megatron, and too often dropped the ball when he did get free. Look for the Lions to make No. 2 receiver a priority this offseason.

Lions Nos. 2 and 3 receiver Bryant Johnson and Dennis Northcutt are expected to be on the roster bubble this offseason.
Their 2009 numbers were similar, and they are due roughly the same salary in 2010. Johnson would be a slightly more explosive No. 3 wideout option than Northcutt, who recently turned 32 and averaged just 10.2 yards per catch. The Lions, however, cannot rely on Johnson to start for another season.

Johnson was a huge bust after signing on to be the Lions' No. 2 receiver this offseason, totaling just 417 yards on the season and topping 50 yards just once.
