49ers placed RT Tony Pashos (fractured scapula) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Pashos is no great shakes at this point in his career, but he was an improvement on Adam Snyder and Barry Sims. Snyder is expected to move back to right tackle for the remainder of the season. Pashos is due to hit free agency after the season, and his starting days are numbered.

49ers RT Tony Pashos left Sunday's loss to the Texans with a left shoulder contusion and will have an MRI Monday.
The 49ers can't afford to lose Pashos for any period of time. Their offensive line is a liabilty in pass protection. Barry Sims took over for Pashos and had QB Alex Smith running for his life a few times.

Tony Pashos has taken over as the 49ers' full-time right tackle.
Pashos' insertion should help San Francisco's running game, as he is a nasty blocker. The 49ers will now use a rotation at right guard of Chilo Rachal and former RT Adam Snyder. Rachal opened the season as the starter.

Adam Snyder is surprisingly holding off Tony Pashos for the 49ers right tackle job.
Right now, Snyder is starting and playing two series for every one Pashos plays. "I want to settle in on one guy, and I think Snyder is doing a good job," coach Mike Singletary said. "He's working his tail off. He's doing everything he has to do." This is going to hurt Pashos' chances of getting a good contract in free agency after this season.

49ers RT Tony Pashos gave up a sack in just a couple series of spot duty in Week 2.
Pashos is pushing Adam Snyder for the starting job but this won't help. We still expect Pashos to eventually take the job from Snyder and improve the Niners' run-blocking (which didn't look like it needed any help against the Seahawks), but for now he'll be rotating in.

Tony Pashos, signed just over a week ago, is already pushing Adam Synder for the starting right tackle job.
Snyder admitted he needs to play better after being abused by Calais Campbell and Darnell Dockett in the opener. It's just a matter of time before Pashos is replacing him in the starting lineup. He'll help Frank Gore in the running game.
