The Jets are expected to attempt to re-sign free agent DL Marques Douglas.
Douglas, a rotational lineman, "showed a knack for making plays" in 2009. A favorite of coach Rex Ryan after following him out of Baltimore, the 33-year-old is likely to stay with the Jets.

NFL Network's Michael Lombardi reports that Jets NT Kris Jenkins is done for the year with a left knee injury.
The exact extent of the injury isn't clear, but Jenkins is believed to have ligament damage and will likely need surgery. The Jets were allowing 4.0 yards per carry with four rushing touchdowns against, but suddenly become an easier matchup for opposing running backs. Most likely, usual DE Sione Pouha will move to nose tackle with Marques Douglas or Mike DeVito entering the starting lineup. The Jets lose quite a bit of girth up front.

Jets agreed to terms with DL Marques Douglas.
Details of the agreement are not yet available. Douglas, a rotational lineman, becomes the third Ravens defensive free agent to follow Rex Ryan to New York.

Douglas is a favorite of Jets coach Rex Ryan, who has already successfully recruited former Ravens Bart Scott and Jim Leonhard.

The Broncos and 49ers have also been linked to the versatile backup, but he's said to be a "personal favorite" of Jets coach Rex Ryan

In addition to the Broncos, the Jets and 49ers have reportedly shown interest in free agent DL Marques Douglas.
Baltimore might also make a bid despite cutting him last week. Douglas is 32 and probably only has a season or two left, but he's a trusty backup.
