NFL Network's Michael Lombardi reports that Jets NT Kris Jenkins is done for the year with a left knee injury.
The exact extent of the injury isn't clear, but Jenkins is believed to have ligament damage and will likely need surgery. The Jets were allowing 4.0 yards per carry with four rushing touchdowns against, but suddenly become an easier matchup for opposing running backs. Most likely, usual DE Sione Pouha will move to nose tackle with Marques Douglas or Mike DeVito entering the starting lineup. The Jets lose quite a bit of girth up front. |
