Panthers FB Brad Hoover re-injured his ankle during Sunday's loss to the Jets.
Hoover already missed three games with a high ankle sprain and this is a setback. He said it's just a tweak, but the excellent lead blocker is in doubt for Week 13 against the Bucs.

Panthers FB Brad Hoover is expected to miss several games with a high right ankle sprain.
This injury is a slight blow to DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart, as Hoover is a solid lead blocker. Backup Tony Fiammetta is questionable for this week with a concussion. The Panthers' running game could be using a fullback off the street for Sunday's game against the Saints.

Brad Hoover left the locker room Sunday on crutches with his right ankle in a boot.
Hoover came into Week 8 worried about his back, but that injury wasn't an issue. He thought he broke his ankle but it sounds like just a sprain. His status is uncertain for next week's game against the Saints.

The hits just keep coming for the Panthers. Hoover hasn't practiced all week and rookie Tony Fiammetta will probably be the one trying to open up holes for DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart.
