 Thomas Jones-RB - Jets Nov. 1 - 6:04 pm et

Thomas Jones rushed 27 times for 102 yards and added one reception for 28 yards against the Dolphins in Week 8.
Jones has plenty of life in his 31-year-old legs, looking as quick and powerful as ever. Shonn Greene's second-quarter fumble was Jones' gain, as the veteran did much of damage with a steadier workload thereafter. Jones will continue to lose 8-10 touches to Greene weekly, but he's a strong RB2 in the Jets run-heavy offense.
 Thomas Jones-RB - Jets Oct. 28 - 10:06 am et

Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum said Tuesday that he expects Thomas Jones to be with the Jets "now and into the future."
There were plenty of grumblings that the Jets would just go with Leon Washington and Shonn Greene next season. Thanks to a roster bonus, Jones would make $5.8 million next year. But with Washington's season-ending leg injury, Jones, 31, is now much more likely to be back with the team next season. A lot will depend on how Washington's recovery goes.

 Danny Woodhead-RB - Jets Oct. 27 - 10:43 am et

Danny Woodhead will see increased reps on third downs with Leon Washington done for the season.
Shonn Greene isn't a good enough receiver to fill the role. A training camp darling, Woodhead won't have any fantasy value. Expect Thomas Jones to get the biggest bump in passing-down snaps and receptions. The Jets couldn't find a way to involve three backs before, so it's hard to imagine them doing so now.

 Leon Washington-RB - Jets Oct. 25 - 11:08 pm et

The New York Daily News confirms that Leon Washington's fractured fibula is a season-ending injury.
It's a "12-week" situation, meaning he couldn't return until late January. Washington sustained a compound fracture, with the bone popping out of the skin, and needed emergency surgery. Beat writer Rich Cimini suggests that Thomas Jones is now more likely to be brought back in 2010. Previously, Jones was considered a lock to be cut with a $3M roster bonus due in March.

 Thomas Jones-RB - Jets Oct. 25 - 7:18 pm et

Thomas Jones ran for 121 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries and caught a three-yard pass in the Jets' Week 7 blowout win.
27 touches is a season high for Jones in a game that New York dictated with its rushing attack. Their 54:15 run-to-pass ratio is every coach's dream. Jones has capitalized on favorable matchups against Buffalo and Oakland to combine for 349 all-purpose yards in his last two games, is averaging nearly 6.0 YPC at age 31, and is on pace for 16 TDs. His role in the passing game also may increase following Leon Washington's likely year-ending injury.
