Bears LCB Charles Tillman (lung, ribs) said he plans on returning to work in 4-6 weeks.
"The recovery process is to sit on my (butt) and do nothing," said Tillman, who was hospitalized after taking a helmet to the abdomen in Week 16. Tillman, who will be 29 in February, also dealt with shoulder, back and concussion issues this season. He'll return as a starter in 2010 but needs to get healthy.

Bears placed CB Charles Tillman on injured reserve with fractured ribs and a bruised lung, ending his season.
He finishes with 78 tackles, two picks, a ridiculous six forced fumbles (also a career high), and seven pass breakups. Still a strong Cover 2 corner despite multiple back and shoulder surgeries, Tillman is sure to return as a starter in 2010. The 29-year-old (in February) will earn $3.35 million next season.

Bears LCB Charles Tillman (bruised lung, cracked ribs) is still in the hospital and is expected to remain there for a few more days.
Tillman is in stable condition after taking that helmet to the abdomen from teammate Craig Steltz Monday night. He's obviously out for Week 17.

In addition to fractured ribs, Bears LCB Charles Tillman also suffered a lung contusion Monday night.
Tillman won't be suiting up for Week 17, with Corey Graham likely moving into the starting lineup. The Lions quarterbacks aren't good enough to exploit the matchup, though it may increase their chances of hitting Calvin Johnson with a deep ball or two.

Bears LCB Charles Tillman was taken to the hospital Monday night after apparently fracturing his ribs against the Vikings.
Teammate Craig Steltz's helmet slammed into Tillman's abdomen. His status will be updated Tuesday, but he's almost certainly out for Week 17.

Bears CB Charles Tillman suffered an apparent rib/abdomen injury on Monday night.
Tillman was hit by his own teammate, S Craig Steltz, after they tackled Vikings TE Visanthe Shiancoe. He had to be taken off by a stretcher and was getting oxygen on the field.
