The Eagles have reportedly granted the Browns permission to interview GM Tom Heckert for the same position in Cleveland.
If hired, Heckert would work under Mike Holmgren similar to the setup in Miami, with Jeff Ireland answering to football czar Bill Parcells. Interestingly, Heckert interviewed for the same position with the Browns in early January last year before the team ultimately chose George Kokinis. Holmgren is expected to choose between Heckert and Randy Mueller this week, with coach Eric Mangini likely axed. Source: NFL.com
