Sean Locklear has an escalator clause in his contract that would pay him more if he plays a significant amount of snaps at left tackle.
We're still not sure if Walter Jones was serious when he "tweeted" that he was retiring. There has been no confirmation of that from Jones' agent or the Seahawks. If Jones does indeed retire, Locklear could bridge the gap at left tackle while Seattle grooms a potential rookie at the position. Offensive line is a major area of need for new coach Pete Carroll.

The Seahawks will reinsert Sean Locklear at left tackle this week.
Damion McIntosh played well on Matt Hasselbeck's blind side against Detroit last week, but Locklear is Seattle's best option with Walter Jones gone for the year. He'll square off with Cardinals ROLB Bertrand Berry on Sunday.

Seahawks OT Sean Locklear (ankle) was active in Week 9, but did not play.
Getting Locklear back will be huge for Matt Hasselbeck and the offense, so it's a good sign he was active. Expect Locklear to get more reps this week and possibly start against the Cardinals in Week 10.

Seahawks OT Sean Locklear (high ankle sprain) has resumed practicing on a limited basis, but isn't ready to start in a game.
"Realistically, to have him start and play would be hard to ask," OC Greg Knapp said. Damion McIntosh, who surrendered two sacks in last Sunday's loss to Dallas, will continue to "protect" Matt Hasselbeck's blind side.

Seahawks coach Jim Mora confirmed that LT Walter Jones (knee surgeries) will not play in Week 8.
"There is a point where you just have to say, ‘Is it going to happen, or isn’t it?’" Mora said, hinting Jones is close to going on I.R. "We’re not there yet, but certainly we’re closer." OT Sean Locklear (ankle) is also unlikely to play. Expect Dallas' blitzes to give Matt Hasselbeck lots of trouble on Sunday.

Seahawks LT Sean Locklear (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 4.
Seattle has the shakiest left tackle situation in the league, with Walter Jones almost certain to miss a fourth consecutive game. Expect Seneca Wallace to continue dumping off on most passing plays Sunday against the Colts.
