Raiders LE Greg Ellis (knee) is listed as doubtful for Week 13.
We'd call this an upgrade for Ben Roethlisberger, except that Ellis' rookie backup Matt Shaughnessy has shown plenty of promise in spot action this year. Shaughnessy will start at Pittsburgh and face off with RT Willie Colon.

 Greg Ellis-DL - Raiders Nov. 26 - 10:38 pm et

Raiders DE Greg Ellis left Thursday's game with swelling in his knee and did not return.
"I don't know what happened," Ellis said. "I just know swelling, a lot of pressure going down my leg, going down my knee down my shin and my calf." Ellis had his knee drained at halftime. It's not known how long he will be sidelined.

Coach Tom Cable revealed that LE Greg Ellis had his shoulder scoped during the Raiders' Week 9 bye, in addition to his knee.
Two in-season surgeries is natural cause for concern for a 34-year-old player; Ellis' body could be giving up on him after 11 1/2 seasons in the league. Cable said Wednesday that Ellis is "questionable" to play in Week 10.

Raiders LE Greg Ellis is out indefinitely after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his knee.
Ellis has a Week 9 bye to begin his rehab, but may not recover quickly. He is 34 years old and has been dealing with arthritis in the joint. Trevor Scott and Matt Schaughnessy will play more if Ellis doesn't return for Week 10.

 Greg Ellis-DL - Raiders Oct. 13 - 8:38 pm et

Raiders LE Greg Ellis is dealing with an arthritic condition in his knee.
It may limit him in some practices, but hasn't affected Ellis' production. The 34-year-old leads Oakland with four sacks and has a forced fumble. Through five games, Ellis has easily been the Raiders' most disruptive down lineman.

 Richard Seymour-DL - Raiders Sep. 6 - 6:38 pm et

Coach Tom Cable revealed Sunday that Richard Seymour will start at right end for the Raiders, and kick inside to tackle occassionally.
Trevor Scott remains Oakland's best pass rusher, but will now only play in nickel sets. The Raiders project to improve against the run with the massive Seymour (6'6/310) at weak-side end, but he's not going to be the sack threat Scott could've been. Greg Ellis will be an every-down player at left end.
