Profootballtalk.com reports that the 49ers have signed free agent DL Demetric Evans to a two-year, $3.8 million contract.
The Redskins needed Evans much more, but they must've only been only offering about the minimum. In other words, "thanks for nothing." Evans was the Skins' most consistent end in 2008 and one of the main reasons they were competitive versus the run. They're left with Chris Wilson, Rob Jackson, Alex Buzbee, and perhaps 36-year-old Phillip Daniels behind Andre Carter. Source: Profootballtalk.com
