DeAngelo Hall says he will file a complaint with the NFL office alleging that Falcons coaches cheap-shotted him on the sideline in Sunday's game.
Hall was trying to break up a fight after teammate LaRon Landry delivered a late hit on Matt Ryan. During the scrum, Hall says Falcons director of athletic performance Jeff Fish "tried to get some licks in" on him, and that Falcons head coach Mike Smith "cussed me out." "I'm going to get on the horn with commissioner Goodell," Hall said. "That ain't how you do things."

 Antwaan Randle El-WR - Redskins Nov. 4 - 4:50 pm et

Redskins coach Jim Zorn retracted on comments made earlier in the week Wednesday, saying Antwaan Randle El will keep his punt return job.
After indicating Monday that CB DeAngelo Hall would take over, Zorn said that Randle El will still get most of the chances and Hall will only be a "change of pace" on returns. Santana Moss is the best returner on the team.

 Antwaan Randle El-WR - Redskins Nov. 2 - 3:24 pm et

Antwaan Randle El has lost his punt return job to CB DeAngelo Hall.
Randle El, who also lost his receiver job in camp, was averaging just 5.2 yards per return with 11 fair catches and two fumbles. The 30-year-old has declined sharply in the past few years and may be an offseason casualty.

 DeAngelo Hall-DB - Redskins Aug. 28 - 9:06 am et

Redskins CB DeAngelo Hall admitted he "got a little bit lazy" last season.
Hall also said he slacked off after signing a seven-year, $70 million contract with the Raiders in 2008. "When you get the money, it's easy to be content," said Hall. It's sounding like the mega-talented Hall has matured, but he'll have to prove it on the field before anyone believes him.

 DeAngelo Hall-DB - Redskins Aug. 20 - 10:00 am et

The Redskins will use DeAngelo Hall at left cornerback in their base defense, and in the slot in nickel sets.
We'd think LaRon Landry is better suited to cover the slot. The Skins are desperate after losing Shawn Springs, but Hall freelances more than most slot corners. Fred Smoot is declining and Carlos Rogers will stay at RCB.

 DeAngelo Hall-DB - Redskins Feb. 27 - 12:27 am et

Redskins agreed to terms with CB DeAngelo Hall on a six-year contract with a $55 million max value. The deal includes $23 million guaranteed.
Our first post-free agency period signing is a doozy. Hall has had an up and down career, but his on-field ability cannot be questioned. The 25-year-old has the ball skills, speed, and man-to-man cover ability to be top-ten cornerback. For the second straight offseason he's getting paid like it. Only time will tell if Hall busts as badly in D.C. as he did in Oakland. The Skins will now either cut Shawn Springs or put Carlos Rogers on the trade market.
