ESPN's Mike Sando reports that the NFL will not suspend Bears DT Tommie Harris for punching Cardinals RG Deuce Lutui in Week 9.
Harris risks a fine, but already served his time after getting kicked out of Week 9 68 seconds into the game. He's listed as probable for Thursday night's tilt with San Francisco with a knee injury. Harris is not an IDP option.

Bears DT Tommie Harris is under review for punching Cardinals RG Deuce Lutui in Week 9, but he is not expected to be suspended.
The NFL hasn't handed down its sentence yet, but Harris will probably just get a fine because he was ejected so early in the game. Harris has issued a public apology and he's expected to be in the lineup for Thursday's game against the 49ers.

Bears DT Tommie Harris has been ejected from Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
Harris punched Cardinals RG Deuce Lutui in the head after a play on the very first drive of the game. It's been a rough year for Harris, who was angry about being a healthy scratch in Week 7. Expect him to be suspended for this incident.

Harris was the center of some controversy last week after being a healthy scratch. He had two tackles and still seems put off by his situation. "If I go out there and have three sacks, it's not a great game, it's what he does," Harris said. "If I have one sack, it's not good enough for people."

Harris has resumed practicing fully after being deactivated for Week 7 for "rest" purposes. The struggling three-technique tackle has just seven stops, no sacks, and one fluky interception through six games this season.

According to the Chicago Sun Times, DT Tommie Harris' Week 7 deactivation was done for "rest" purposes.
Harris is experiencing pain in his surgically repaired knee, and we suspect he may need another operation before the season is over. Those covering the team believe Harris' knee woes could persist for the rest of his career. The Bears signed the 26-year-old to a $40M extension two offseasons ago.
