Chris Cooley will see another doctor about his surgically repaired ankle next Monday.
Cooley wasn't at the Redskins' practice facility Wednesday, and the team still hasn't given a time frame for him to return. Consider him out for Week 11 against Dallas and a big long shot to face the Eagles the following Sunday.

 Chris Cooley-TE - Redskins Nov. 16 - 12:32 pm et

Redskins coach Jim Zorn said we're still a week away from any news on Chris Cooley (ankle).
Cooley has been a targeting a Week 12 return, but that seems like a best-case scenario at this point. Zorn didn't say Cooley is out of his walking boot, so we're assuming he's still in it. Fred Davis has six catches for 76 yards in two starts since Cooley went down.

Redskins declared TE Chris Cooley, CB Kevin Barnes, TE/FB Eddie Williams, G/T Mike Williams, LB Robert Henson, DT Anthony Mongtomery, DL Renaldo Wynn, and RB Clinton Portis inactive for Week 10.
Ladell Betts is active and in the starting lineup. Fred Davis starts in place of Cooley, but isn't a good fantasy play against Broncos FS Brian Dawkins.

Redskins coach Jim Zorn says Chris Cooley (ankle surgery) won't be out of his protective boot for another 1-1/2 weeks.
Zorn had no other details, but Cooley's best case scenario is a Week 12 return, and the tight end has indicated that he isn't recovering quickly. Fred Davis, who had just 26 yards in Week 9, will make at least two more starts.

 Chris Cooley-TE - Redskins Nov. 5 - 1:07 pm et

Chris Cooley's (ankle surgery) best-case scenario is to return for the Week 12 game against the Eagles.
We're not counting on it as even Cooley admitted concern that the team will place him on injured reserve. Cooley said he wants to come back even if the Redskins are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, which they almost certainly will be. Expect some more news Monday when Cooley goes for a second opinion.

 Chris Cooley-TE - Redskins Nov. 4 - 4:52 pm et

Chris Cooley admits he's "not really getting around so well" on his surgically repaired ankle, and will go for a second opinion in Monday.
Cooley wouldn't rule out missing the last nine games. "It's still really sore," Cooley conceded. "I really can't move it or set it down. I think that's what it's supposed to be, but I'll have someone who knows tell me on Monday."
