Reggie Brown caught one pass for 13 yards in Sunday's win over the 49ers.
Brown started in place of Jeremy Maclin (foot), but Jason Avant was on the field much more. The Eagles haven't trusted Brown since 2007 and he's not a fantasy option even with Maclin out.

 Reggie Brown-WR - Eagles Dec. 18 - 1:14 pm et

Coach Andy Reid confirmed Friday that Reggie Brown will replace Jeremy Maclin (foot) as the Eagles' starting split end in Week 15.
He'll rotate with Jason Avant and Kevin Curtis, however, and would be a poor fantasy gamble against a San Francisco pass defense that's held both Kurt Warner and Matt Hasselbeck under 200 yards in the last two games. The forecast for Lincoln Financial Field is also calling for a 70% chance of snow and winds in the 17MPH range. Leave Brown, Avant, and Curtis benched.

 Jason Avant-WR - Eagles Dec. 15 - 9:10 pm et

Jason Avant is projected to be the Eagles' starting wideout opposite DeSean Jackson with Jeremy Maclin (foot) out for Week 15.
Avant is usually a slot receiver, but the team website lists him as the starting split end in its projected lineups against the 49ers. Reggie Brown would've been the other candidate to start opposite Jackson. The Niners' pass defense has been stout of late, but consider Avant a WR3 option this week.

 Jeremy Maclin-WR - Eagles Dec. 14 - 12:27 am et

Coach Andy Reid revealed in his post-game press conference that Jeremy Maclin tore his plantar fascia in the Eagles' Sunday night win.
Reid called it a "one or two week" injury, although that's likely optimistic. Maclin had to be carted away, and was almost in tears on his way off the field. Look for Reggie Brown to finish the regular season as the Eagles' starting split end and Maclin to perhaps return for the playoffs. DeSean Jackson and Brent Celek will continue to be featured in the passing game.

 Reggie Brown-WR - Eagles Dec. 6 - 4:19 pm et

Reggie Brown caught two passes for 64 yards in Sunday's win over the Falcons.
Brown started in a two-wide receiver set, but only because Jeremy Maclin nicked an ankle on his first punt return. Brown dropped a third-down pass on a crossing route, which is the very thing that got him in the doghouse in the first place. He came back to make two nice catches, but isn't a great option even if DeSean Jackson sits again next week. Jason Avant played a lot of snaps out wide.
 DeSean Jackson-WR - Eagles Dec. 4 - 1:17 pm et

DeSean Jackson (concussion) has been formally ruled out for Week 13.
Jackson didn't practice at all this week and will target Week 14 to return. It's worth noting that Jason Avant (not Reggie Brown) is listed directly behind D-Jax on the Eagles' depth chart at flanker. If Avant starts, he will be an every-down receiver, kicking into the slot in three-wideout sets. Jeremy Maclin is likely to see most of the deep ball targets Jackson would normally get.
