Texans declared DT Shaun Cody, QB Dan Orlovsky, WR Glenn Martinez, FS Nick Ferguson, CB Antwaun Molden, DT DelJuan Robinson, OL Tutan Reyes and TE Anthony Hill inactive for Week 6 against the Bengals.
Cody will sit out the game with the flu, giving fifth-round rookie Frank Okam the start against the league's leading rusher, Cedric Benson.

Texans starting DT Shaun Cody is out for Sunday's game against the Bengals due to the flu.
Cedric Benson gets a small boost with Cody out. Frank Okam is expected to draw the start, with DelJuan Robinson also getting snaps.

Texans DT Amobi Okoye is reportedly being pushed by Shaun Cody for the starting job.
The fallout from Mike Bell's 100-yard effort against the Texans last week? Okoye is a special talent, but he's been practically invisible since the second half of his rookie season. The Texans need major improvement from their defensive tackles.

Texans agreed to terms with DT Shaun Cody on a three-year contract.
Cody, the No. 37 overall pick in 2005, never developed as a pocket pusher in Detroit, but is only 26 and has upside. He'll likely push Travis Johnson at nose tackle. At worst, Cody should help as a rotational run stopper.

Free agent DT Shaun Cody will visit the Saints Monday.
The high second round pick struggled to ever get on the field in Detroit, which isn't the best sign. He would be a backup in New Orleans.
