DOB: 5/14/1983

 Frank Gore-RB- 49ersNov. 19 - 3:21 pm et
Of Frank Gore's 40 rushes for 187 yards the past two weeks, 16 attempts and 112 yards have come out of the shotgun formation.
Information like this is why Matt Maiocco is one of our favorite beat writers. The Niners have been trending toward the shotgun with Alex Smith over the past three weeks, and Gore's effectiveness is another reason to stick with the transition to a more open offense.

 Frank Gore-RB - 49ers Nov. 12 - 11:45 pm et

Frank Gore rushed 25 times for 104 yards and a touchdown and added four receptions for 21 yards against the Bears in Week 10.
The Niners came out passing to take advantage of the Bears' banged up secondary, but the game morphed into a defense/running game struggle. Gore took advantage, breaking off three dashes over 20 yards and finishing his runs with authority against a motivated Bears front four. An easy RB1 going forward, Gore is averaging 139 yards and one score over his past three games.
 Alex Smith-QB - 49ers Nov. 12 - 2:53 pm et

The 49ers ran more than half of their plays out of the shotgun against the Titans in Week 9.
"I like the things that work," Singletary explained. "It is certainly something we have the tools to do." Alex Smith operated almost exclusively out of the shotgun in college, and he's clearly more comfortable in that formation. Singletary deserves credit for being malleable enough to make the change to a pass-first offense, which will increase the value of all their relevant fantasy players.

 Frank Gore-RB - 49ers Nov. 11 - 4:51 pm et

Frank Gore (probable, eye) practiced fully again Wednesday.
Gore will start on Thursday Night Football against a Bears run defense that has plummeted to 21st in the league. He's easily a top-five RB1 play.

 Frank Gore-RB - 49ers Nov. 9 - 5:29 pm et

The 49ers did not hold a practice Monday, but released an "estimated" injury report based on players' level of participation had they practiced.
Frank Gore (eye) was listed as a full participant, while Jason Hill (ankle) and Vernon Davis (shoulder) would've been limited. Michael Robinson (stinger) would not have practiced. The team will have a real practice on Tuesday.

 Frank Gore-RB - 49ers Nov. 9 - 1:13 pm et

Frank Gore suffered a right eye contusion in the 49ers' Week 9 loss, but stayed in the game.
He's the ultimate gamer. "Somebody poked me in the eye under the pile," he said. "I was all right. I'll do anything to win. I told my boys that I'm going to stay out there and fight with them." Gore plays the Bears in Week 10.
