Browns coach Eric Mangini confirmed that Brady Quinn will start against the Lions this week.
The question had to be asked after Quinn was horrific on Monday night, posting a 23.5 passer rating in the loss to the Ravens. Quinn has a dream matchup against Detroit, but he's still not even worth a start in leagues that start two quarterbacks.

Benched Browns QB Derek Anderson is due a $2 million roster bonus on the first day of the 2010 league year.
Paying the bonus would all but lock Cleveland into keeping Anderson in 2010, but his salary would be $7.45 million. And he isn't worth half that. Beat writer Tony Grossi suggests D.A. is likely to be on the team next year, but we can't imagine even Eric Mangini paying such a bad QB $9.5 million.

Derek Anderson has been removed as the Browns starting quarterback.
Coach Eric Mangini has chosen to go back to Brady Quinn after Anderson posted a 36.2 quarterback rating with nine interceptions and two touchdowns in six games. Anderson signed a three-year, $24 million contract in February of 2008 and now has a lot of work to do to rebuild his reputation.

Brady Quinn is expected to start for the Browns Sunday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
It's a mild surprise, even though Derek Anderson posted an anemic 36.2 quarterback rating in five starts. Quinn was pulled in favor of Anderson after just 2 1/2 games and the Browns seemed like they didn't want to go back to him. Having Quinn under center doesn't change much for the Browns' skill players, and he won't be anywhere near a QB2 against the Ravens this week.

Browns coach Eric Mangini said he will wait until Wednesday to announce his starting quarterback for Week 10.
Mangini said he knows who will start, but hasn't talked to the quarterbacks yet. We're tentatively expecting Derek Anderson to keep the job despite his 36.2 quarterback rating. Either quarterback is going to have a tough spot on Monday night against a Ravens team that is coming off a loss.

Browns coach Eric Mangini says he'll name a starting quarterback for Week 10 the Monday after Cleveland's Week 9 bye.
Unless the Browns bring back Vinny Testaverde, it'll probably be Derek Anderson. Mangini has previously all but ruled out reinserting Brady Quinn, and says he definitely isn't ready to turn to third-stringer Brett Ratliff.
