 Brandon Jones-WR - 49ers Nov. 3 - 10:05 am et

Brandon Jones stepped in for an injured Nate Clements as the 49ers' punt returner in Sunday's loss to the Colts.
Jones can't get on the field as a receiver, so he's probably happy just to touch the ball. He returned two punts for six yards and could keep the role with Clements out six weeks.

49ers coach Mike Singletary said WR Brandon Jones will be active for this week's game against the Colts.
Jones, who signed a five-year, $16,5 million contract as a free agent this offseason, suffered a shoulder injury in training camp. He's been healthy for about three weeks but still has zero catches on the season and was inactive in Week 7. It's worth noting that Jones was having a nice training camp before he went down and showed good chemistry with new starter Alex Smith.

 Brandon Jones-WR - 49ers Oct. 25 - 11:55 am et

49ers declared WR Brandon Jones, C Cody Wallace, WR Jason Hill, SS Michael Lewis, WR Micheal Spurlock, third QB Nate Davis, S Reggie Smith, and DE Ricky Jean-Francois inactive for Week 7.
Frank Gore will resume every-down back duties against Houston.
 Michael Crabtree-WR - 49ers Oct. 23 - 4:54 pm et

Coach Mike Singletary revealed that Michael Crabtree, Isaac Bruce, and Josh Morgan will all play about equally Sunday at Houston.
"When you look at Isaac Bruce, Josh, and Crabtree, they're all going to play about the same," said Samurai Mike. "It just depends on how the game goes." An even three-receiver timeshare isn't a recipe for fantasy success in a run-based offense. We're advising to "wait and see" on Crabtree this week. The roles of Arnaz Battle and Brandon Jones threaten to decline sharply.

 Brandon Jones-WR - 49ers Oct. 21 - 9:27 am et

49ers beat writer Matt Barrows suggests that Brandon Jones is healthy and ready but doesn't fit with the team's offense.
Jones caught a lot of deep balls in camp before injuring his shoulder, but they were from Alex Smith. Shaun Hill isn't a deep thrower and Mike Singletary probably prefers that Hill doesn't look long. Michael Crabtree is a better fit in the scheme as a physical, run-after-catch receiver.
